MAVERICKS ANNOUNCE EXHIBITION GAMES
Missouri will host Evansville for two pre-season contests
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri – Missouri Mavericks President and General Manager Brent Thiessen announced today the Central Hockey League (CHL) team will host the Evansville IceMen for two exhibition games on Friday, October 8 and Saturday, October 9 at Independence Events Center. Both games will begin at 7:05 p.m.
“We are excited to bring in an IHL team that has since joined the CHL,” said Thiessen. “We believe this gives our fans an opportunity to see all of the players competing for a spot and it also gives the fans the chance to see an Evansville team that only comes to town once during the regular season.”
The Mavericks will have two price levels of tickets for each of the exhibition games. End, Terrace, Plaza and Rinkside level tickets are just $15, while Center Ice and Kryger Glass seats are $18. Tickets for the exhibition games could go on sale as early as August 14. Check www.MissouriMavericks.com for more details.
“We will have some very tough decisions to make this year as we trim to our final roster of 19 players,” said Mavericks’ Head Coach Scott Hillman. “The two exhibition games will provide the stage for the players to show us who are ready to help move this organization in the right direction.”
Mavericks’ season ticket holders who choose to purchase the exhibition games will receive the tickets in their season ticket books.
The Missouri Mavericks will begin their second season in the Central Hockey League on October 15, 2010 against the Odessa Jackalopes at 7:05 p.m. The Mavericks play their home games at the state-of-the-art Independence Events Center where parking is always free. Individual game tickets will go on sale in September, and season tickets are on sale now starting at just $10 per game.
