Time to Buckle Down
Opening night is now less that two months away and I think it's time to really make sure I'm doing the right things to prepare myself for the season, which is why I was skating with my buddies in St. Louis the past couple weeks at a conditioning camp hosted by an agency that represents many local players as well as NHL and AHL players. I'm was on the ice from 9-11am each morning doing practice drills and scrimmages followed by a conditioning skate.

MAVERICKS TO HOST SECOND “MAVS GOT TALENT” SEPTEMBER 18
CHL team will host auditions for game-day entertainment and anthem singers
The Mavericks will host auditions for national anthem and various in-game entertainment acts on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Independence Events Center. The event will last from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with separate auditions scheduled throughout the day.

MAVERICKS FIRST FILLY SPIRIT SQUAD ANNOUNCED
The Missouri Mavericks announced the names of the 10 ladies that made the first ever Filly Spirit Squad. The two-part tryouts finished at Blue Springs Harley Davidson on Saturday. The Mavericks want to congratulate the ladies that made the team, and thank all of the ladies that tried out.
The squad will play an integral part of the Mavericks game operations this season.

Sirota, Lavender return; D’Amour and Nolan sign with Mavs
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri – Missouri Mavericks’ Head Coach Scott Hillman announced Wednesday the Central Hockey League (CHL) team has signed four more players for the 2010-11 season. Forward Nick Sirota and defenseman Jared Lavender return for their second season with the Mavericks, and defenseman Dominic D’Amour as well as goaltender Rob Nolan have signed with the team.
“It’s a great day for the Mavericks with the signing of these four players,” remarked Mavericks’ President and General Manager Brent Thiessen. “We added quite a bit of scoring up front and solid defense, in addition to a goalie that was sought by several other CHL teams.”

The Missouri Mavericks Fan Club will host the 1st Annual "Golf with a Maverick" Golf Tournament on October 1, 2010 at Drumm Farm Golf Club. This will be the first chance to meet and greet with the Mavericks prior to the 2010-11 season. The Missouri Mavericks Fan Club (The Wranglers) will host the event in which every foursome will play with a Mavericks player.
