Animals & Pets
Seeing-eye dogs and/or assistance dogs are allowed into Independence Events Center. No other animals are permitted.
To ensure your fellow Missouri Mavericks fans do not miss any of the action on the ice, Independence Events Center staff may ask fans to wait at the top of the aisle until the puck is out of play or until a break in the action out of common courtesy for all spectators.
There are two automated teller machines (ATMs) at Independence Events Center. One is located in the Box Office and the other is located near the south entrance located behind section 103.
Baby / Toddler Tickets
Children 2 years of age and under are not required to have a ticket to enter Independence Events Center.
- No adhesive backed (stick-on) decals or similar items may be distributed or used in the building.
- No fliers or handouts will be distributed outside or inside the facility without prior approval from the General Manager.
- No posters, playbills or any other signage can be taped, stapled or affixed to any surface in the building.
- While signs are allowed into the arena, any sign attached or affixed to anything is not allowed. Also, signs cannot obstruct view by being held up during play and may not have or contain abusive or offensive language. Signs cannot contain commercial messages.
The Independence Events Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 10a.m. to 5 p.m., and on extended hours on event days and weekends. The Box Office is closed on holidays. Tickets may also be purchased in advance by calling 1-800-745-3000 or online at www.Ticketmaster.com or any Ticketmaster outlet.
- Box Office hours are Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The box office is open event days from 10:00 a.m. until one hour into the event.
- The box office is located on the east side of the complex at street level and features seven windows.
If a game is cancelled due to weather or any other unforeseen circumstances, the game will be replayed at a later date and all tickets purchased for the game will be valid for the new date and time.
Cellular Phones and Pagers
The use of cellular phones and pagers is permitted at Independence Events Center, provided such use does not interfere with other guests' enjoyment of the game.
Concession stands are located all along the concourse area and kiosks are located throughout the arena.
The Mavericks and Ticketmaster accept all major credit cards for ticket purchases. The Top Shelf Team Store accepts all major credit cards accept American Express.
The doors to Independence Events Center open one and one-half hours (1.5 hours) prior to game time, typically 5:30 pm for a 7:05 pm start (unless noted otherwise). Guests are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy food and drink specials and pre-game events and festivities.
Independence Events Center is equipped with two public elevators. The first is located at the main entrance outside section 111 and the second is located at the south entrance outside section 103. The elevators provide access to the loge and suite level. Suite and loge level admittance is limited to loge, club and suite ticket holders, Mavericks and building staff members, and media members. Proper credentials or tickets are required.

Letters to Mavericks players and personnel should be addressed to that individual and sent to the Mavericks address (listed at the top of this page).
First aid is located behind section 118. In the event of an emergency, please contact a staff member, usher or security personnel immediately and make your way to the first aid room.
Food and Beverage
Fans are not allowed to bring any outside food or beverage into Independence Events Center.
The Mavericks front office is located on the suite level directly above section 119. For any questions, call the Mavericks at 816-252-7825.
Mavericks games typically last two hours and thirty minutes (2:30).
Most Mavericks games start at 7:05 pm and 5:05 pm on Sundays. Special start times will be noted.
Promotional items or "giveaways" are available on select game dates to fans with a valid, paid ticket on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit of one item per guest. Check the Mavericks’ calendar for special giveaways and dates.
Fans are allowed to bang or slap the glass as long as they are 1) using hands only and no foreign objects; 2) not causing the glass to sway, and 3) seated in the front row.

Level of Play/Affiliation
The Mavericks play in the Central Hockey League, an “AA” professional hockey league. Currently the Mavericks are affiliated with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. The Wolves are the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks.
Should any tickets be lost or stolen, you must contact the point of purchase where you received the tickets. Lost or stolen tickets purchased from the Independence Events Center Box Office do not have the ability to be re-issued.

The Mavericks Team Store hours during the season are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and extended hours on game days. The team store is located in the east end of Independence Events Center next to the main entrance behind section 112.
Parking is free at Independence Events Center.
No professional cameras or recording devices are allowed inside Independence Events Center for Mavericks’ games. Cameras with detachable lenses or lenses that are longer than 3.5 inches will not be permitted without a proper credential.
The press box is located on the suite level on the southwest corner above section 103. Only credentialed media personnel and Mavericks’ staff are allowed in the press area.
Press credentials may be obtained by members of the media who are affiliated with legitimate media outlets. For a media credential, please e-mail email@example.com.
Pucks out of Play
Fans may keep pucks that go out of play. Stay alert for pucks and sticks, which can land in the seating areas and cause injury.
All games (home and away) are broadcast through the Listen Live link on the Mavericks website and on the Mavericks mobile application available in the Android Market and iTunes. All games will be broadcast on 1660 AM, the KMBZ Business Channel.
Re-entry is not permitted at Independence Events Center except for emergencies. Please visit an usher should you feel you have an emergency and need re-entry. Do so before you leave the arena. Smoking is not constituted as an emergency, please see the Smoking Policy below for questions regarding smoking.
Scalping (re-selling) tickets is not allowed within 500 feet of the Independence Events Center.

There is no smoking allowed anywhere in the Independence Events Center; however, there is a designated smoking section located behind section 117 outside of the arena.
Will Call Window
On game days after 5 p.m., will call is located on the east concourse directly inside the main entrance next to the Box Office. Please have photo ID available. To pick up tickets on non-game days and before 5 p.m. on game days, please go to the Box Office on the southeast corner of the Independence Events Center.
