Missouri Mavericks Video Production/Game Operations Internships
Internship Duties:
Come be a part of the Missouri Mavericks Video Production and Game Operations Department and learn first-hand what it takes to work for a professional sports organization. This internship is multi-faceted with duties relating to both video production and game operations. The two overlap in many instances, so interns must not only have an interest in video production, but live event production as well. Interns will assist in the creation of the Missouri Mavericks video department by compiling game scripts, shooting footage and editing video highlights, and brainstorming new and exciting ideas. Interns will compile and edit highlights on game nights, as well as assisting in filming features to be used on arena video board in-game. Additionally, game operations intern will create and customize in-game slides for video board, including out-of-town scores, end-of-period statistics updates, sponsor recognition, and more. Interns will also assist the Director of Game Operations and help with the planning and execution of a successful live event presentation. Interns will be integral in formulating new ideas for game-night activities and creative skits, music editing, on-ice promotions, and the organization of Game Scripts. This is a great opportunity to experience first-hand the implementation of video production, static and motion graphic design, and live event production in professional sports.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
A strong willingness to learn and be part of a team-player environment
A positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond internship responsibilities
A basic knowledge of camera operations is preferred
A desire to learn all aspects of production of live sporting events
A creative mind with focus on creating entertainment value
Some experience, and the desire to further learn all aspects of production, including graphic design, video editing, and music editing.
